Job description

The Senior Verification Engineer role at NVIDIA involves working within a front-end multi-media IP team focused on developing and verifying multi-media IP designs. The position emphasizes collaboration with ASIC design engineers and other verification engineers to ensure product features are formalized and verified successfully. The engineer will utilize System Verilog and UVM for verification and will be responsible for building testbenches and enhancing automation flows. This role is crucial for advancing verification techniques and methodologies within the team.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of proven design verification experience
  • Expertise in verifying sophisticated IPs with System Verilog
  • Experience with verifying High-Level-Design (HLS) designs is a plus
  • Programming and scripting experience with C and Python
  • Familiarity with using AI-enabled IDEs for code development
  • Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively for solutions to complex problems

Responsibilities

  • Participate and help drive the development of NVIDIA multi-media IP designs with emphasis on first pass success
  • Collaborate and partner with ASIC design engineers, IP architects, and other verification engineers to formalize product features
  • Verify IPs using System Verilog and UVM
  • Build testbenches and enhance flows for automation of unit level trace based testing against reference C models
  • Architect and build verification architecture and associated documents
  • Develop simulation models
  • Manage regression across HLS, Verilog, and FPGA simulations
  • Conduct performance testing and analysis
  • Track and close functional and code coverage
  • Help the team advance verification techniques and methodology
  • Perform IP integration testing into a full chip environment
