Job description
NVIDIA is looking for a Principal DRAM Architect to lead the development of next-generation AI and graphics memory solutions. This role is part of the Memory Architecture team and focuses on optimizing DRAM, GPU, and system architectures for enhanced performance and efficiency. The architect will work closely with DRAM vendors and contribute to global memory standards. The position requires a strong background in memory technologies and a passion for innovation in high-speed memory interfaces.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in DRAM or memory system architecture, with at least 5+ years focused on HBM.
- Expertise in HBM architecture including TSV design, die stacking, and thermal/power management.
- Proven participation in JEDEC or equivalent standards organizations.
- Strong understanding of I/O and PHY design fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Architect next-generation DRAM solutions and NVIDIA-specific implementations.
- Lead innovation in high-speed memory interfaces with expertise in HBM PHYs.
- Collaborate on advanced packaging technologies to optimize DRAM-GPU co-packaging.
- Evaluate emerging DRAM process nodes and their impact on performance metrics.
- Influence industry direction by contributing to JEDEC committees and memory standards.
