NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for its Coherent High Speed Interconnect team, focusing on the architecture and design of high-speed coherent interconnects for mobile SoCs and GPUs. The role involves collaboration with architects, software engineers, and circuit designers to deliver cutting-edge interconnect solutions. This position offers a chance to impact various product lines, including consumer graphics and artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of integrated products with NVIDIA partners using custom silicon.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree is required, with advanced degrees (MS, PhD) being a plus.
  • 6+ years of relevant design experience is necessary.
  • Knowledge of industry standard interconnect protocols like PCIE, CXL, AXI, and CHI is useful.
  • Understanding or experience with Link layer stacks including Data link layer and Physical layer is required.
  • Experience with physical layer interconnects such as Memory (DDR, LPDDR), PCIE, and SerDes is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Verilog or System Verilog is required.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, with a history of mentoring junior engineers and interns being a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the architecture and design of high-speed coherent interconnects for mobile SoCs and GPUs.
  • Collaborate with architects, external partners, software engineers, and circuit designers.
  • Deliver class-leading high-speed coherent interconnect solutions.
  • Contribute to the creation of integrated products with NVIDIA partners using chiplets.
  • Engage in performance analysis and power optimization of interconnect designs.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
