Job description
The Senior Signal & Power Integrity Engineer at NVIDIA will lead board and system signal integrity design activities, focusing on PCB stack up design and material selection. This role is part of a dynamic team that works with cutting-edge technology impacting various product lines, including consumer graphics and AI. The engineer will collaborate closely with Package and PCB Design teams to enhance system performance. Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years as a SI/PI engineer.
- Good understanding of electromagnetics, channel components, and transmission line theory.
- Experience with the design and implementation of high-speed electrical interfaces such as PCIE, LPDDR/DDR/GDDR, MIPI, HDMI, and USB.
- Hands-on experience with HFSS, Sigrity, Hspice, or similar industry-standard simulation tools.
- Experience with Cadence Allegro PCB designer and Constraints Manager or other PCB stack up designer tools.
- Understanding of the impacts of high-volume PCB manufacturing on channel signal integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead board/system SI design activities, including PCB stack up design and material selection.
- Conduct system-level signal integrity simulation for various interfaces.
- Analyze and optimize the Power delivery network on PCBs.
- Collaborate with Package and PCB Design teams to enhance system SI/PI performance.
- Support customer board designs in collaboration with Application Engineering.
- Perform TDR and VNA measurements for PKG/PCB material characterization and model correlation.
