Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a motivated ASIC Timing Engineer to join their dynamic team, focusing on timing analysis and closure for GPUs, CPUs, LPUs, and SoCs. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to devise timing closure strategies and improve timing convergence flows. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and advance technology in a supportive environment. Candidates will be part of a company that values innovation and diversity.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5 years of experience or MS with 3 years of experience in Timing and STA.
  • Hands-on experience in full-chip/sub-chip Static Timing Analysis (STA) and timing convergence.
  • Expertise in analysis and fixing of timing paths through ECOs including crosstalk and noise analysis.
  • Experience in physical design and optimization to improve timing and power.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standard STA and timing convergence tools.
  • Knowledge of deep sub-micron process nodes and hands-on experience in modeling and converging timing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the timing analysis and closure processes for NVIDIA's GPUs, CPUs, LPUs, and SoCs.
  • Work closely with RTL, DFX, Clocks, and other teams to create timing constraints and drive timing and power convergence.
  • Play a pivotal role in the success of innovative projects and advancement of technology.
  • Leverage expertise to improve timing convergence flows in collaboration with methodology teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
