Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a System Software Automation engineer to join the Build & Release DRIVE OS team. This role focuses on automating and optimizing build, test, integration, and release processes for NVIDIA's DRIVE OS, which is a foundational software stack for embedded systems. The engineer will work with modern DevOps tools to streamline development and enhance the execution environment for applications. The position requires collaboration across multiple functional teams to drive initiatives and improve software development workflows.
Requirements
- BS or higher degree or equivalent experience in computer science.
- 5+ years of meaningful experience in software automation.
- Proven experience setting up, maintaining, and automating continuous integration systems.
- Proficiency in source control management tools like Perforce or Git.
- Adept programming skills in Python or similar languages.
- Curiosity about LLMs, NLP, or AI-driven developer tools.
Responsibilities
- Automate and optimize build, test, integration, and release processes for publicly distributed libraries.
- Configure, maintain, and build upon deployments of industry-standard tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, CMake, and Jira.
- Develop shared utilities for setting up systems, running tests, and recording results.
- Use LLMs to analyze and improve developer documentation, including README files and API references.
- Prototype intelligent agents that assist with dependency management, versioning, and release notes.
- Contribute to best practices for building, testing, and releasing software.
- Identify infrastructure needs and translate them into actionable tasks.
