Job description
NVIDIA's High-Speed Interconnect (HSIC) team is looking for a versatile engineer to join their Silicon Hardware team. The role focuses on the design and optimization of next-generation high-speed interconnects like NVLink and NVLink-C2C. The engineer will work on improving efficiency and stability while collaborating with various engineering teams. This position is based in Santa Clara, CA, requiring on-site presence 2 to 3 days a week.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in HSIO development, bringup planning, functional and electrical validation, and/or power optimization
- Strong understanding of high-speed interfaces and computer architecture
- Experience with large scale Data Center topologies and power management optimizations
- Familiarity with firmware/driver structures and their interaction with hardware
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design of next-generation high-speed IOs, including NVLink and NVLink-C2C
- Optimize IO power and enhance energy efficiency
- Ensure interoperability with connected devices and system components in complex interconnect topologies
- Investigate and resolve technically challenging HSIO bugs while driving debug efforts across teams
- Collaborate closely with system architects, mixed signal and design teams, and software/firmware teams to drive product development and release
