Job description

The Senior Firmware Engineer will join NVIDIA's Firmware team, which develops innovative networking features for AI, cloud, HPC, and storage. This role involves working in a complex and fast-paced environment, focusing on the development and verification of firmware for NVIDIA's NIC and Switch products. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to debug firmware issues and contribute to the modeling and simulation of next-generation board designs. A strong emphasis is placed on problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Firmware.
  • Strong C/C++ and OOP capabilities.
  • Excellent data analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital design, computer architecture, Linux, drivers, and CPU/GPU/SOC architecture.
  • Familiarity with Linux scripting languages and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with architecture and different software and hardware design teams.
  • Implement new features for NVIDIA NIC and Switch firmware.
  • Develop verification tests for advanced features in a highly complex Firmware testing environment.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to debug any firmware and validation issues.
  • Participate in early modeling and simulation required for product development, including schematic and layout reviews.
