Job description

NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group is looking for a versatile engineer to join the HW ArchDev team, which focuses on the entire product development cycle from architecture definition to product release. This role involves working on next-generation high-speed interconnects like NVLink and NVLink-C2C, with an emphasis on improving efficiency and stability. The position offers the chance to impact various product lines, including artificial intelligence and self-driving cars. Candidates will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to drive the design and development of innovative products.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working on high-speed IO with expertise in power management, use case analysis, performance/power modeling, bringup, and debug
  • Experience with system-level and interconnect power management optimizations
  • Knowledge of firmware and driver structures and their interaction with hardware
  • Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, computer architecture, high-speed interfaces, timing analysis, process variations, statistical error rates, and power analysis

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of the next generation of high-speed IOs, including NVLink and NVLink-C2C
  • Optimize IO power and enhance energy efficiency
  • Ensure interoperability with connected devices and system components in complex interconnect topologies
  • Investigate technically challenging high-speed IO bugs and lead debugging efforts across various teams
  • Collaborate proactively with system architects, mixed signal and design teams, software/firmware teams, and operations to drive product development and release

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
