Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Power and Performance Architect to lead the development of next-generation power management features and solutions. This role is part of the Silicon Solutions Team, which focuses on integrating various aspects of system architecture from silicon design to final deployment. The architect will collaborate with multiple teams within the company to drive power optimizations across a range of products. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of power management in the technology industry.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience of 15+ years in silicon and product power and power management.
- Expertise in silicon power, transistor/device physics, power modeling and measurement, and active power management.
- Background with system level features, product binning methods, optimization techniques, and data analysis.
- Experience in product level power and performance analysis and optimization, preferably in the datacenter market segment.
- Familiarity with silicon bringup and validation, frequency and power characterization, with hands-on post silicon experience being a plus.
- Excellent problem solving, partnership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with offshore teams is required.
- Exposure to CPU/GPU/SoC architecture and HW-SW co-design is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect next generation power management features and solutions through system architecture, design, and productization.
- Evaluate industry direction and use cases to identify opportunities and challenges in power management and optimization.
- Drive initiatives for system-level power optimizations across silicon, platform, software, manufacturing, and product systems.
- Lead the team for power feature requirements and schedule from architecture to silicon phase of projects.
- Develop methodologies for power modeling and measurement, and correlate silicon behavior with simulations.
- Collaborate with system architects, designers, marketing teams, and engineers in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
