Job description

Requirements

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a related hardware engineering position
  • Previous experience with silicon bringup, frequency and power characterization, and tester-to-system correlation
  • Proficiency in JMP or equivalent data analysis tools and lab tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Scripting experience with Perl or Python
  • Exposure to Windows, Linux, and Android OS environments

Responsibilities

  • Understand chip hardware features and develop characterization strategies for these features
  • Create internal characterization plans to validate new silicon features
  • Drive testing methodology initiatives and translate hardware design requirements to silicon speed characterization needs
  • Collaborate with system architects, chip designers, and software engineers in a high-energy work environment
  • Design tools and scripts to automate characterization and data collection
  • Prototype and fine-tune testing methodologies for next-generation products
  • Build tools and automation scripts for executing test plans efficiently
  • Architect essential testability features for performance and power optimization
  • Correlate silicon behavior across platforms and provide design feedback
  • Lead efforts to find solutions to complex silicon and system-level problems
