Job description
The role is part of NVIDIA's Operations NPI Product Development Engineering team, focusing on the transition of products from engineering concepts to high-volume datacenter platforms. The team is responsible for developing and delivering manufacturing, testing, and failure analysis processes for new datacenter servers. This position requires collaboration with various engineering teams and manufacturing partners to ensure high-quality product development. The successful candidate will drive solutions to problems during prototype builds and implement process improvements based on data analysis.
Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proven skills and experience in the design and manufacture of complex compute or networking hardware platforms.
- Expertise in CPU, GPU, HBM, and PCIe, and comfortable writing Python code.
- Strong ability to diagnose and rationally solve problems on complex hardware platforms.
- Familiarity with diagnostics/test software used in a factory setting.
- Familiarity with Linux command line and ability to review logfiles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A high-energy, proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, typically 2-3 times per quarter.
Responsibilities
- Own, develop, and deliver the Manufacturing, Test, and Failure Analysis/recovery process for new datacenter servers.
- Collaborate with multi-functional HW/FW/SW engineering teams and manufacturing partners.
- Develop and implement comprehensive product development plans for high-quality products.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturing/Test (DFX) processes and provide feedback.
- Work closely with factory personnel during prototype/validation builds to drive solutions.
- Define and implement process improvements based on data collection and analysis.
- Review build dashboards to analyze throughput, yields, and failures.
- Debug server platforms according to published guidelines and perform minor rework.
- Publish clear daily status and build reports, and develop documentation and SOPs.
- Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers for smooth factory assembly and test operations.
