Job description
As an engineer in NVIDIA's EDA Workflow Optimization team, you will collaborate with global engineering teams to enhance chip design processes. Your role will involve investigating workflows from inception to production, guiding teams to improve and reinvent these flows. You will work in a dynamic environment, enabling engineers to utilize the best tools for innovative chip development. This position emphasizes continuous improvement and performance measurement of chip development processes.
Requirements
- Strong experience investigating and debugging complex, multi-discipline problems in a UNIX engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience with architectural decisions in technologies such as storage, networking, and compute.
- Experience with ASIC, VLSI, CAD/EDA, or mixed signal design workflow environments.
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools.
- Experienced in UNIX Systems programming and automation using Python and/or Shell.
- Authoritative level usage of UNIX and UNIX utilities.
- Excellent planning and communication skills.
- Experience in applying data analysis principles and influencing data-driven decisions.
- Flexibility and adaptability working in a dynamic environment with changing requirements.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience; MS preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a diverse team performing fast-paced investigations to empower engineers.
- Participate in the full life-cycle of tool development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with team members and chip engineers to optimize workflows.
- Build reliable and user-friendly metrics for engineers worldwide.
- Continuously improve the chip development process.
- Contribute to the overall quality and time to market for next generation chips.
