Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a senior research engineer to design and build innovative video search technologies for applications in Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, and Medical fields. This role focuses on redefining dataset search platforms and enhancing search capabilities for physical AI developers. The ideal candidate will bring technical innovation and a collaborative spirit to the team. You will work on cutting-edge video retrieval methods and contribute to core NVIDIA platforms.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of job experience in computer vision, video retrieval, machine learning, or equivalent experience.
- Current knowledge of the latest research on image and video search in autonomous vehicles, healthcare, robotics, or related physical AI applications.
- Fluency with agentic AI workflows across the full applied research lifecycle.
- Excellent experience in training and optimizing models.
- Excellent experience with PyTorch.
- A record of developing high quality Python code in large projects.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with experience working well in a dynamic, product- and research-focused team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate innovative video search approaches at exabyte scale.
- Benchmark and become an expert on state of the art video retrieval methods.
- Partner with researchers to develop and evaluate prototypes of the latest models for image and video search.
- Collaborate within a large and dynamic codebase to build robust physical AI dataset search workflows.
- Collaborate with research, model development, performance, and product teams.
- Use agentic AI workflows across the full applied research lifecycle.
- Contribute to NVIDIA Cosmos Dataset Search and other core NVIDIA platforms and products.
