Job description

NVIDIA is seeking Senior System Software Engineers to join the Tegra system software group. The role focuses on developing and validating Tegra Boot and Security software across various platforms, including Automotive, Embedded, and Data Center. Candidates will work closely with hardware and software teams to enhance NVIDIA's next-generation SoCs. This position requires expertise in firmware development and a deep understanding of operating systems and hardware architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in system software engineering.
  • Proficiency in bare-metal firmware and device driver development, especially for ARM/RISC-V architectures.
  • Strong understanding of applied cryptography, secure boot, and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in C and Python with strong debugging abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and validate Tegra Boot and Security software across Automotive, Embedded, and Data Center platforms.
  • Participate in the full silicon lifecycle, from pre-silicon simulation/emulation to silicon power-on.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve issues within the Tegra Boot stack.
  • Collaborate with architecture, software, and hardware teams to advance NVIDIA's next-generation SoCs.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
