Job description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director, Lead Data & Analytics Engineer in Alpharetta, GA, to enhance data processes and flows using AI and machine learning technologies. The role focuses on strong data analysis, modeling, and managing client onboarding and trading processes. The engineer will also drive product development and serve as a subject matter expert for middle office products. This position allows for telecommuting up to two days per week.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
  • Requires three years of experience in the position offered or as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or a closely related occupation.
  • Requires three years of experience with system design, analysis, and maintenance on software programs in microservice architecture.
  • Requires three years of experience with analytical dashboards and data analysis using Tableau and Power BI.
  • Requires experience with Agile methodologies including backlog management and user story creation.
  • Requires experience with end-to-end project lifecycle management.
  • Requires proficiency in MS Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end process and data flow diagrams and enhance processes with AI and machine technologies.
  • Provide strong data analysis and data modeling.
  • Handle client onboarding, trading, margin, lending, asset servicing, and calculation of portfolio values.
  • Write user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for development and testing teams.
  • Drive product development including requirement gathering and technical solutioning.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for all middle office products and services.
  • Drive complex decisions with technology partners.
  • Scale technical infrastructure to meet the demands of global customers.
