Job description

Join Intel's Communication Runtimes team to develop advanced software for supercomputers and AI systems. This role focuses on creating next-generation communication libraries, optimizing performance, and collaborating with scientists and engineers. You will work on Intel SHMEM and contribute to other communication libraries while driving innovations in scientific computing. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on research in various fields, including climate modeling and drug discovery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM-related field and 3+ years of relevant industry, internship, or research experience.
  • 3+ years of C and C++ programming experience.
  • 3+ years of Linux development experience.
  • Experience with multithreaded programming.
  • Experience in distributed computing systems, HPC communications libraries, or GPU software development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain features and optimizations focused on Intel SHMEM.
  • Optimize software for low latency, high bandwidth, and maximum reliability.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers on the Aurora supercomputer.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Drive performance optimizations in high-performance computing.
