Job description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director, QA Engineer to join their Services Group in Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on reviewing requirement specifications, identifying gaps, and determining software testability. The engineer will design and develop test scripts, prepare test plans, and participate in the peer review process. This position allows for telecommuting up to two days per week.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related occupation.
  • Requires five years of experience in the position offered or five years as a Senior Specialist, Associate Specialist, Technical Lead, or a related technical occupation.
  • Requires five years of experience with programming languages including Java and Python.
  • Requires five years of experience with front-end automation tools including Selenium and Playwright.
  • Requires five years of experience with performance testing tools including JMeter, K6, and AppDynamics.
  • Requires five years of experience with databases including Oracle and DB2.
  • Requires five years of experience with API testing tools including Postman and Rest Assured.
  • Requires experience with release and deployment cycles using Jenkins.
  • Requires experience with various testing types including manual front-end testing, functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Requires knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and JIRA.
  • Requires stock plan domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirement specifications and identify gaps.
  • Determine software testability and testing implications.
  • Identify and create test scenarios.
  • Design and develop test scripts in Quality Center and Jira.
  • Prepare test plans and test scripts for each software component and requirement.
  • Participate in the test case peer review process.
  • Setup test conditions prior to script execution.
