Job description

The Yield Analysis Engineer will join the Advanced Packaging Technology and Manufacturing Yield Group, focusing on improving yield, device performance, and defect reduction across packaging technologies. The role involves analyzing large datasets and applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques to drive yield improvement. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various engineering teams and be responsible for synthesizing data insights and developing solutions to complex problems. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or PhD degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Relevant experience must include data analysis using JMP, Python, or other data engineering and analytics tools.
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on application of statistical analysis is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in structured technical problem-solving is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Extract insights from structured and unstructured data by synthesizing large volumes of data.
  • Develop solutions to problems using formal education and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Independently drive recommendations and influence the yield improvement roadmap.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing yield and device health.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to ensure successful technology development and transfer.
