Job description

This role involves developing the logic design, RTL coding, and simulation for a CPU, focusing on generating cell libraries and functional units for full chip designs. The position requires active participation in defining the architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU. The candidate will apply various strategies and tools to optimize logic and ensure design integrity while meeting power, performance, area, and timing goals. Additionally, the role includes reviewing verification plans and documenting micro architectural specifications.

Requirements

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or any STEM related education with at least 2+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 1+ years of coursework or experience in basic logic design, microprocessors, computer architecture, digital design and RTL coding, Verilog/SystemVerilog and/or VHDL, synthesis tools, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the logic design, RTL coding, and simulation for a CPU.
  • Participate in the definition of architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU.
  • Apply strategies and tools to optimize logic and ensure design integrity.
  • Review the verification plan and implementation to ensure design features are verified correctly.
  • Document micro architectural specifications of the CPU features being designed.
  • Support SoC customers to ensure high-quality integration of the CPU block.
