Job description

This role involves joining Intel's Neuromorphic Computing Lab to develop a product-grade neuromorphic AI execution stack for edge and robotic systems. The position focuses on architecting and leading the development of firmware, runtime, and performance infrastructure. Candidates will work closely with various teams to deliver a high-performance software stack while providing technical leadership. This is an opportunity to contribute to the next wave of AI technology leveraging Intel's neuromorphic computing advancements.

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing firmware, runtime, performance, or other low-level systems software for AI or accelerators.
  • 5+ years of experience leading software architecture for complex AI, runtime, or accelerator software systems.
  • 8+ years of experience developing maintainable, production-grade software in C/C++ and Python.
  • 5+ years of experience with AI, deep learning, or optimization workloads using frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Intel's neuromorphic runtime software stack.
  • Architect, develop, and optimize firmware and runtime components, including execution control and memory management.
  • Architect and deliver performance infrastructure for optimization and product release.
  • Integrate the runtime stack into existing robotics and edge software ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with hardware, compiler, systems, application, and solution teams to translate platform requirements into software capabilities.
