Job description

The Application Development Lead (Technical Architect) role within the Firmwide Data Office at Morgan Stanley focuses on building an Enterprise Knowledge Graph using Graph and Semantic technologies. This position requires a hands-on leader who will guide a diverse technology team in delivering innovative solutions that enhance data governance and management practices. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics or related field
  • 12+ years of experience designing and implementing n-tier distributed full-stack applications, with recent experience as Engineering or Tech lead
  • Strong experience in Big-data technologies including complex data pipelines and Lakehouse based platforms
  • Successful experience leading high-performing development and engineering teams with a proven track record of execution and delivery
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with Java, API Design and Development, and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Expertise in implementing DevOps techniques and practices
