Job description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director of Data & Analytics Engineering to join their team in Alpharetta, Georgia. This role focuses on designing and developing ETLs, stored procedures, and views on a DB2-based Data Warehouse. The position involves analyzing system requirements, performing data profiling, and monitoring query performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with other developers and assist during QA and UAT phases to ensure data integrity and performance.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
  • Requires five years of experience in the position offered or five years as an Assistant Consultant, Developer, or related occupation in the technology field.
  • Requires five years of experience with ETL – Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Requires five years of programming experience including Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Requires five years of experience in Data Modelling including Erwin.
  • Requires five years of experience with RDBMS including Oracle.
  • Requires five years of experience with Big Data technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, Apache Hive, and Apache Spark.
  • Requires five years of experience with BI Reporting tools including QlikView and Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ETLs, stored procedures, triggers, MQTs, and views on the DB2-based Data Warehouse.
  • Analyze system and functional requirements provided by the business.
  • Perform data profiling and analysis on source system data.
  • Monitor the performance of queries and data loads and perform tuning as necessary.
  • Provide assistance and guidance during the QA and UAT phases.
  • Ensure timely production deployment of scheduling jobs, ETL workflows, and database objects.
  • Assist other Informatica ETL developers with their development of complex ETLs.
