Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director, Lead Software Engineer to join their FX technology team in New York. This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, and testing server-side services and software applications to support the FX business. The engineer will collaborate with global colleagues to deliver integrated solutions and provide support for various stakeholders. The position allows for remote work from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer, Programmer Analyst, or a related role.
- Five years of experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle using Linux and agile development on enterprise scale complex projects.
- Four years of experience in system architecture and Core Java development including Object Oriented programming.
- Two years of experience developing high throughput transaction and event processing systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, and test server-side services and software applications for the FX business.
- Collaborate with global colleagues in the FX technology team and other technology teams.
- Provide support for traders, salespeople, controllers, and operations with software application and infrastructure questions.
- Conduct in-depth software analyses of FX business and projects.
- Continuously improve the quality of FX trading software system and codebase.
