Job description

The Senior PCB/CAD Layout Engineer will lead the design and delivery of advanced printed circuit board layouts for both flexible and rigid circuits. This role is integral to Intel's objectives, utilizing Cadence Allegro tools to create detailed layouts and specifications. The engineer will work on high-density designs, optimizing processes and managing external resources. This position offers the chance to collaborate with various engineering teams and drive innovation in PCB technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM-related field
  • 3+ years of PCB layout design and CAD engineering experience
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro PCB design tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end PCB layout design for all board types, including rigid and flexible circuits
  • Optimize CAD processes for maximum efficiency and performance
  • Generate and document design for manufacturing and tape out packages
  • Resolve complex PCB/PB issues through advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Create and maintain schematic and layout components with meticulous attention to detail
  • Manage external PCB design resources through quote generation, PO creation, and oversight
  • Plan and manage software license requirements strategically
  • Apply expertise in high-density, high-speed, mixed-signal, analog, digital, and RF designs
  • Collaborate with signal and power integrity teams to achieve superior PCB performance
  • Manage comprehensive PCB documentation and final design packages
