Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in Menlo Park, CA, to join their Services Group. The role focuses on software analysis, design, development, and integration while collaborating with product teams to clarify objectives. The engineer will also support production issues and enhance existing modules. This position allows for telecommuting up to two days a week.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related occupation.
- Requires seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years as a Manager, Associate, or a related occupation.
- Requires seven (7) years of experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, and SQL.
- Requires three (3) years of experience with Tomcat, WebSphere, UNIX, Maven, Ajax, Eclipse IDE, JProfiler, SVN, GIT, Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA, Linux systems, SOAP, Rest Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XSL, XML, JSP, RabbitMQ, JDBC, and Agile Methodology.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis, estimation, architecture, design, development, and integration following design patterns.
- Gather business requirements and functional requirements.
- Consult with the product team to identify and clarify program objectives.
- Provide support for any production escalations.
- Support current applications by debugging and troubleshooting production issues.
- Analyze design for existing modules and make design changes.
