Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related computing discipline with 2+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ months of related experience.
  • Experience with high performance micro-architecture techniques and research.
  • Familiarity with CPU architecture and micro-architecture simulators, tracing technologies, and performance analysis.
  • 6+ months of experience or coursework with C++.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive end-to-end CPU architecture specifications for optimized, modular, and scalable CPUs.
  • Understand CPU requirements and define performance, power, frequency, area targets, and features.
  • Evaluate feasibility trade-offs and explore new approaches for CPU architectures.
  • Invent and specify architectural and microarchitecture features to meet optimized CPU requirements.
  • Model CPU performance and power, analyzing bottlenecks on workloads.
  • Develop tests and testing infrastructure for new architectures/features, performing functional modeling simulations.
  • Provide experimental changes for proposing design alternatives that meet performance, power, area, and timing constraints.
  • Collaborate with architects, design, verification, and validation engineers during project execution.
  • Deliver definitions of new microarchitecture and find mitigations for issues during feature implementation.
