The SoC Design Verification Engineer - Emulation role at Intel's Devices Development Group focuses on researching, designing, developing, and testing System on Chip (SoC) designs. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in reading and interpreting technical specs and Register Transfer Level (RTL) code.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building emulation models for large scale SoCs.
- Experience with UNIX or Linux.
Responsibilities
- Build multiple emulation targets for an SoC.
- Add support for new features/IPs into existing emulation models.
- Learn the architecture and microarchitecture by debugging failures to the root cause.
- Develop and utilize various debug and validation tools and/or methodologies to implement validation plans.
- Participate in the debug of failures on silicon and develop new testing strategies to detect these failures on RTL models.
- Conduct system level validation tasks using evaluation boards and FPGAs.
- Develop high level modeling for RTL components.
- Develop debugging tools and software.
