The DevOps Engineer position at EquityZen, a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, focuses on managing and optimizing technical infrastructure to support the Sales team. This role involves deploying applications on AWS and Kubernetes while ensuring high availability and performance. • You have at least 3-12 years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and contributing to AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• You are proficient in implementing security measures like firewalls, antivirus software, encryption methods, and access controls to protect complex networks.
• You are based in or willing to relocate to the NYC Metro area.
• You enjoy working alongside Product Managers and Business Stakeholders to ideate and design infrastructure solutions.
• You have a knack for rapid prototyping and enjoy introducing improvements to the tech stack.

• Deploy and manage applications running on AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and other core infrastructure tooling.
• Own the investigation and response to security incidents and maintain a comprehensive playbook for future readiness.
• Collaborate directly with engineers to weave security into the development and testing phases of the SDLC.
• Collect and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Act as a critical second pillar for the DevSecOps team, reducing 'single point of failure' risks and helping to prevent team burnout.
• Introduce meaningful improvements to the end-user experience and internal business workflows through modern DevSecOps practices.
