Job description

The Sr. Security Architect will lead the security architecture for Client and Data Center SoCs, focusing on the application of AI-driven tools to enhance security specifications, code, and testing. This role requires a blend of deep SOC/platform security expertise and hands-on experience with AI-based analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities and systemic risks early in the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with SoC architects, silicon designers, and firmware engineers to translate risks into actionable mitigations. The position emphasizes the importance of AI in modern security practices and aims to establish robust firmware security architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in Client and/or Data Center platform or firmware security architecture.
  • Hands-on experience of 2+ years using AI-based tools specifically for code generation and security discovery.
  • 5+ years of system-level programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Rust) and security automation, validation (e.g., Python).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for SOC security architecture across Client and Data Center SOC/platform.
  • Lead security discovery using AI-based analysis tools to identify firmware and low-level vulnerabilities at scale.
  • Apply AI-assisted code reasoning and large-scale analysis to rapidly analyze large firmware and platform codebases.
  • Drive firmware-focused threat modeling enhanced by AI tools to broaden coverage and identify emergent risks.
  • Define and own firmware security architecture specifications informed by AI-driven security discovery.
  • Partner with SoC architects, silicon designers, firmware engineers, and OS/virtualization teams to translate discovered risks into mitigations.
  • Mentor senior engineers and architects, setting best practices for AI-enabled security discovery, analysis, and review.

Benefits

  • Intel offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, stock programs, healthcare coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, parental leave, and programs supporting employee wellbeing and professional development.
