The Data AI Engineering Specialist role is part of the Architecture & Modernization team at Morgan Stanley, focusing on building and maintaining the data infrastructure for Data AI platforms. This position requires hands-on development and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data accessibility and usability. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong execution skills, capable of contributing to both current strategies and their evolution. Requirements
- 8 years or more of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming skills in Python.
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience working on Snowflake and Databricks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Experience with message queues and streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience using Jupyter notebooks for data exploration and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Work with structured and unstructured data to ensure it is accessible and usable.
- Optimize data systems for performance and scalability.
