Job description

The role involves performing functional verification of CPU logic to ensure design specifications are met. The team is focused on developing and executing verification plans, collaborating with various engineering teams to enhance the verification process. Candidates will work on debugging issues in the presilicon environment and improving existing verification methodologies. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology advancements at Intel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of related work experience in CPU validation or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with experience in CPU validation.
  • 6+ months of experience in developing and debugging functional tests for a CPU.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional verification of CPU logic to ensure design will meet specification requirements.
  • Develop IP verification plans, test benches, and the verification environment to ensure coverage to confirm to CPU microarchitecture specifications.
  • Execute verification plans and define and run system simulation models to verify the design, analyze power and timing, and uncover bugs.
  • Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the presilicon environment.
  • Find and implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
  • Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features.
  • Document test plans and drive technical reviews of plans and proofs with design and architecture teams.
  • Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • Participate in the definition of architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU being designed.
