Job description

Intel's Foundry Automation group is looking for an experienced Software Application Engineer to join their Manufacturing Execution Systems and Controls team. This role focuses on designing and delivering scalable software solutions that enhance factory automation and optimize manufacturing processes. The engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced production technologies and improve Intel's semiconductor manufacturing processes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to significant technological advancements in the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field and 3+ years relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on database development experience with enterprise RDBMS platforms including designing and implementing database schemas.
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft development technologies (.NET, C#) and middleware technologies.
  • Experience with modern user interface technologies such as Angular or React is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain factory automation systems, including manufacturing execution systems and scheduling algorithms.
  • Analyze, prototype, and enhance automation solutions to improve factory performance and cycle time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement data-driven solutions using advanced technologies.
  • Provide input to technical documentation and support post-deployment systems to ensure optimal performance.
