Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related computing discipline with 4+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
- Experience with high performance micro-architecture techniques and research.
- Familiarity with CPU architecture and micro-architecture simulators, tracing technologies, and performance analysis.
- 6+ months of experience or coursework with C++.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive end-to-end CPU architecture specifications for optimized, modular, and scalable CPUs.
- Define CPU requirements and targets for performance, power, frequency, and area.
- Evaluate feasibility trade-offs and explore new approaches for CPU architecture.
- Invent and specify architectural features to deliver optimized CPU requirements across multiple segments.
- Model CPU performance and power, analyzing bottlenecks based on future workload usage.
- Develop tests and testing infrastructure for new architectures and features, conducting analysis of test results.
- Provide experimental changes for design alternatives that meet performance, power, area, and timing constraints.
- Collaborate with architects, design, verification, and validation engineers throughout the project.
- Deliver definitions of new microarchitecture and find mitigations for issues during feature implementation.
