Job description
The CAD Physical Design Engineer role at Intel involves developing and supporting backend physical design methodologies for high-performance CPUs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware design and scripting languages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience.
- 1+ years of experience in hardware design and engineering, such as VLSI and design automation algorithms.
- 1+ years of experience with Python, Perl, and/or Tcl scripting languages.
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and support tools and methodologies for backend physical design.
- Perform analysis for synthesis, place and route, floor planning, and signoff for static timing analysis.
- Work closely with design teams to understand and resolve tool issues.
- Collaborate with industry EDA vendors to enhance tool capabilities for CPU design.
- Create documentation and guidelines for design processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members to solve problems and ensure solutions are implemented.
