Job description
Intel's Quantum Computing Group is seeking a PhD-level Quantum Device Measurement Engineer to advance silicon spin qubit technology. The role involves hands-on work with dilution refrigerators and electrical measurements to characterize quantum devices at millikelvin temperatures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in qubit measurement and a passion for innovation in quantum processor development. Collaboration with internal teams and external research groups is essential to accelerate Intel's quantum computing roadmap.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Cryogenic Engineering, Quantum Information, Quantum Technologies, or Quantum Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in electrical measurement of semiconductor qubit or quantum devices.
- Experience in tuning quantum dots, measuring quantum dot threshold voltages, and qubit readout.
- Experience with electrical measurements of spin qubits and cryogenic temperature measurements.
- Experience in programming, preferably with Python.
Responsibilities
- Propose and execute innovative ideas to accelerate Intel's quantum program.
- Study spin qubits in silicon.
- Design and implement experiments for device characterization.
- Perform hands-on device electrical measurements.
- Analyze data and develop predictive device models.
- Develop efficient device testing and verification methods.
- Communicate and collaborate with other groups to validate success criteria.
- Collaborate with external research groups and vendor programs.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in quantum computing technology.
