The role is for an engineer in the E-core CPU team at Intel, focused on designing future generations of high-performance CPUs. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3+ months of experience, or a Master's degree in the same fields.
- 3+ months experience in computer architecture, particularly relevant to CPUs.
- 3+ months experience with hardware modeling languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or System Verilog.
- 1+ years of validation and debug experience including test writing and root cause analysis.
- 1+ years' experience in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Perl, or Python.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional verification of CPU logic to ensure design meets specifications.
- Develop IP verification plans, test benches, and verification environments.
- Execute verification plans and run system simulation models to verify designs.
- Replicate root causes and debug issues in the presilicon environment.
- Collaborate with CPU architects and design teams to improve verification processes.
- Document test plans and conduct technical reviews with design and architecture teams.
- Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
- Participate in defining architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU.
