The Senior Power and Performance Engineer will focus on the execution of power and performance measurements for Intel's unlaunched notebook and desktop products. This role involves analyzing and debugging workloads to identify performance gaps and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate projections. The engineer will also guide and educate teams on power and performance positioning while creating estimates to support marketing decisions. This position is integral to Intel's product launches and requires a strong technical background.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- 1+ years of experience in a post-silicon environment or system architecture/CPU micro-architecture or system engineering.
- Knowledge of x86 CPU microarchitecture is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry benchmarks such as Procyon, SPEC CPU, and Geekbench is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Measure, analyze, and debug workloads to identify power and performance gaps.
- Align with internal engineering teams to ensure consensus on power and performance projections.
- Create power and performance estimates based on workloads for upcoming Intel products.
- Own the publication of the Power Performance Guide collateral for OEM customers.
- Bring up full test platforms to enable power and performance measurements.
