Job description
The Quality Engineer role at Intel Foundry focuses on enhancing quality standards within the organization and its substrate suppliers. This position is integral to meeting customer expectations in a competitive foundry environment by applying advanced statistical methods and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will collaborate closely with Module and Integration teams to implement quality expectations and monitor factory performance. A hands-on approach is essential for driving operational excellence and ensuring the successful integration of new packaging architectures.
Requirements
- Master's degree with 4+ years of experience or PhD degree with 2+ years of experience in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering degree.
- Six Sigma Black Belt with hands-on experience in tool/process PCS, data analysis, and statistical tools and methods.
- 1+ years of experience in general fab manufacturing process development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the application of advanced statistical methods, specifically Statistical Process Control (SPC), to achieve best-in-class PCS.
- Conduct on-site operational audits to ensure factories are prepared to bring new capacity online.
- Introduce and enforce operational quality standards including scope, goals, and expectations.
- Drive the execution of corrective actions and continuous improvement plans based on various prioritization factors.
