Job description
As a Pixel IP DMA Design Engineer in the Hardware Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in designing high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chips (SoCs). Your work will involve collaborating with architecture, design, and verification teams to develop DMA engines that efficiently manage data transfer for pixel processing. This position is highly visible and directly impacts the delivery of functional products to millions of customers. You will be responsible for enhancing performance while minimizing power and area in your designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in multimedia IP/SoC front-end ASIC RTL design.
- Strong collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience working multi-functionally with architecture, design, and verification teams.
- Previous experience designing dedicated DMA engines, particularly for machine learning applications.
- Good understanding of arbitration, address translation, caching, and on-chip interconnects.
- Familiarity with common on-chip bus protocols such as AMBA (AXI, AHB, APB).
- Experience in front-end implementation tasks including synthesis, area and power analysis.
Responsibilities
- Explore solutions to enhance performance while minimizing power and area.
- Detail specifications and build RTL designs.
- Work with design verification and formal verification teams to verify functionality and performance.
