Job description

The Senior CAD Support Engineer at KLA is responsible for providing support to engineers in their use of CAD and PDM systems, specifically Creo and Solidworks/PDM. This role is part of the Information Technology group, which focuses on enhancing technology to improve business productivity. The engineer will manage projects related to CAD tools and process efficiency improvements. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and CAD systems administration.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least eight years of relevant professional experience
  • A minimum of two years experience in CAD/PDM systems administration or implementation
  • Deep technical and application knowledge of CAD/PDM systems, specifically Creo, and Solidworks/PDM
  • Solid understanding of engineering processes, including Research & Development (R&D) and New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Experience using AI with CAD tools and simulation is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and outside of standard working hours when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support for CAD/PDM systems utilized by KLA engineers
  • Serve as the administrator for PDM tools
  • Manage projects of new CAD related tools introduction and design process efficiency improvements
  • Implement new CAD model templates, data cards, and workflows
  • Collaborate with other systems, including PLM, to ensure integration and process optimization
