The Sr. Systems Design Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting next generation optical critical dimension metrology systems. This role involves leading product development from technology evaluation to customer support. The engineer will work with a global team to address complex challenges in semiconductor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership and possess a strong background in modeling and simulation.

• PhD in Optics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience in creating computational models to represent complex optical systems.
• Strong background in engineering or the physical sciences with demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the division, customers, vendors, and across cultures.
• Minimum of 2 years related work experience with a Doctorate or 5 years with a Master's Level Degree.

• Develop and evaluate concepts and designs for next generation systems.
• Lead design efforts for system components, including building models and performing analysis.
• Contribute to prototype testing by providing input to the test plan and conducting experiments.
• Setup and drive small team efforts to address product-level issues.
• Lead development of performance and troubleshooting diagnostics for existing and new products.
• Work with engineers globally to resolve system issues and standardize solutions.
