Job description

The Systems Design Engineer will join a dynamic team focused on developing advanced laser sources and Optical Parametric Oscillators. This experimentalist role emphasizes designing and building lasers with a focus on shorter wavelengths. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of laser cavity design, optics, and non-linear conversion processes. The position also requires hands-on skills in modeling conversion efficiency and optimization techniques.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Lasers, Non Linear Optics, Photonics or a Master's Level Degree with more than 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in designing and building lasers and Optical Parametric Oscillators.
  • Deep knowledge of laser cavity design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in optics design with Zemax and programming with Matlab or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design advanced laser sources and Optical Parametric Oscillators.
  • Implement and optimize laser cavity designs and non-linear conversion processes.
  • Conduct hands-on experiments and analyze results to improve conversion efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to tackle complex engineering challenges.
