Job description
The Customer Support Engineer (CSE) role at KLA focuses on providing exceptional customer service by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex capital equipment at customer sites. The CSE works independently and is responsible for ensuring operational quality and minimizing downtime for customers. This position is part of the KLA Services team, which emphasizes collaboration and technical expertise to maintain high performance in semiconductor manufacturing. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure while addressing customer needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems
- Knowledge of computer theory, various operating systems, and applicable operating system software knowledge
- Basic automation functionality on assigned equipment set
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency is required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site
- Ensure equipment enhances customer production
- Repair and modify equipment at customer facility
- Prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses incurred, and parts needed
- Cross train and assist other field service engineers as appropriate
- Contribute to the Capturing, Re-use, Collaboration, and Improvement of knowledge using available systems
