Job description

The role focuses on new and sustaining product service engineering within the KLA Services team. This team is responsible for maintaining high performance and productivity of KLA's products through a flexible portfolio of services. The engineer will collaborate with software and hardware development, manufacturing, technical support, and marketing teams throughout the product life cycle. The main goal is to optimize serviceability, reduce costs, and improve service revenue performance.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with no related work experience, Master's degree with 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related work experience.
  • Solid understanding of overall system operation, system integration, and system calibrations.
  • Ability to analyze data from various sources and provide detailed action plans.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central technical resource for product service engineering.
  • Work with various teams to incorporate serviceability and reliability improvements into products.
  • Drive continuous improvement of system hardware, diagnostics, and software.
  • Prepare cost of service models during the initial concept phase and update them as new information becomes available.
  • Travel to beta sites for support of new tool installations and upgrades.
