Job description

The Technical Support Engineer at KLA is responsible for providing timely technical solutions related to optics, lasers, imaging systems, and robotics. This role is part of the KLA Services team, which focuses on maintaining high performance and productivity of products through various services. The engineer will also support new product introductions and work closely with internal engineering teams to resolve complex issues. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to facilitate solutions among multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical college degree in Engineering, Optics, or Electronics, or 2+ years of Semiconductor/Medical equipment service support experience.
  • Knowledge of KLA Laser Scanner and Dark Field products is a plus.
  • English proficiency and the ability to read and understand technical documents.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex problems related to optics, lasers, imaging systems, and robotics.
  • Support the new product introduction team with product sustaining efforts and cost of service analysis.
  • Report to relevant internal engineering teams and host meetings with multiple stakeholders to discuss technical issues.
  • Develop action plans until issues are resolved.
