The Entry Level Civil/Municipal Engineer role at Jacobs involves working on innovative solutions for municipal clients' water, stormwater, and wastewater challenges. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of capital improvement plans, sewer and water infrastructure, hydraulics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in master planning for municipal assets, including evaluating facility capacity and condition assessments.
  • Plan and design watermain, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer replacements, developing detailed construction documents.
  • Prepare design reports for sizing water, wastewater, and stormwater systems based on projected growth.
  • Develop capital improvement plans that prioritize infrastructure improvements.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies for permitting and project funding.
