Job description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will join the Northwest Cities & Places team in Boise, Idaho, providing technical leadership for various building projects. This role focuses on designing and delivering electrical systems for clients in healthcare, government, and transit sectors. The engineer will oversee project teams and ensure quality in design packages while managing multiple projects simultaneously. The position requires interaction with clients and contractors, contributing to business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Idaho
  • 15+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with extensive knowledge of electrical building systems
  • Experience working for an MEP firm with a focus on power distribution systems and lighting systems
  • Proficient in Revit, SKM and/or eTap Power Tools, AGI32 Lighting Analysis, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards and FGI Guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Engineer of Record and/or Electrical Discipline Lead for electrical design projects.
  • Manage electrical engineering design project schedule, budget, and delegation of work.
  • Design full low and medium voltage electrical systems, including power and lighting systems.
  • Prepare load analyses and basis of design reports for projects.
  • Coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and client consultants.
  • Perform construction contract administration and field investigation tasks.
