Job description
The Senior Electrical Engineer role at Jacobs involves providing technical leadership and oversight on advanced industrial facilities, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 10 years of engineering experience with building electrical systems
- Electrical design experience for semiconductor facilities
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
- Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components
- Experience with power system software, preferably ETAP
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Team lead experience
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, and lighting.
- Prepare technical specifications and construction documents, ensuring alignment between drawings and specifications.
- Act as the Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer.
- Interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors to support construction activities on-site.
- Participate in proposals to identify solutions to problems clients didn’t even know they had.
- Recommend best practices and improve processes within the team.
