Job description

The Customer Engineer III for Platform FS Insurance at Google Cloud will serve as a primary technical partner and trusted advisor to customers. This role involves engaging in technical conversations to understand business issues and architecting cloud solutions that address these challenges. The engineer will collaborate with sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud offerings and drive technical wins. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively present solutions to both technical and business leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role focused on designing, architecting, and deploying cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience engaging with technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
  • Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
  • Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, and customer workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy while supporting targeted sales motions.
  • Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to demonstrate the value of Google Cloud Platform through complex demos and workshops.
  • Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers.
  • Facilitate the post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and transitioning the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
  • Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan and provide support to cross-functional teams during implementation phases.
